"My life all changed one morning when I woke up experiencing what I later discovered was an anxiety attack. My life going forward became unsettled and filled with uncertainty and fear. My peace had been shattered.
Kristin was aware of the journey because she cared and drew closer when others shied away. One day she came to visit and after some conversation offered to pray for me. We went to a quiet, relaxing place. I sat in a chair while she stood by me laying her hands on my shoulders. I do not remember the words of the prayer but the experience was profound. A peace that passes understanding flooded into me as she prayed. It was not anticipated but it was exactly what God knew I needed. That peace has never left. The journey to complete healing from anxiety continued for a time but I was later completely healed. One of my favorite parts of my story is when the Prince of Peace became real as two friends shared in the struggle of anxiety.
James 5:16b 'The prayer of the righteous person has great power as it is working.' Kristin, led by the Holy Spirit listened to my story and allowed the Holy Spirit to use her as a vessel to bring peace into my life. It was beautiful and life giving.
